We
at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community believe that all adults are
called to continue their faith formation and spiritual growth.
Faith formation is ongoing from "womb to tomb" from our birth
to the natural end of our lives. Learning about our faith is not
just for children! It is for everyone! Every Catholic is
invited to walk with Christ in his or her daily life, to gather
faithfully together on Sunday at Mass, and to grow in wisdom and
knowledge about the faith. When adults--parents--grandparents--single--old
and young--adults of all cultural backgrounds--participate in faith
formation, we mature together in our faith as a community and we are
better equipped to help the children and youth of our community to grow
in theirs. To this end, we have many opportunities available for
adults in our parish community |

Bible
Study: The Feasts of Judaism
Passover,
Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, Hanakkuh, and Purim...What do they all mean?
Learn about the Jewish roots of the Christian faith through a study of
Jewish festivals and feasts. This 6-week bible study will be held on
Mondays starting April 7th at 7:00 p.m. in Hopkins. Please contact the
Office of Faith Formation by March 24th to register. Cost for the study
materials is $15.00. |

Teaching
Mass
All
are invited to attend a Teaching Mass on March 26th at 6:30 p.m. in
Church. At a Teaching Mass, you will learn more about
the various elements of the Mass through ongoing dialogue from the
presiders. Make your Mass experience more meaningful week-to-week. Why

The
Christian Meditation Group meets
weekly on Wednesday mornings at 9:15 a.m. in the Gathering Room located
in the church. Meditation, also know as, contemplative prayer, is the
prayer of silence and listening. All are invited to attend For more

ADULT
FAITH FORMATION BOARD
The
Adult Faith
Formation Board
at Our Lady of Light sets the vision for ongoing
Faith Formation in the parish by discussing the types of programs that
will serve the spiritual needs of adults of all ages. The Board develops ideas for the annual Parish Retreat,
Parish Mission, Bible Studies, and the Sunday/Wednesday speakers that
coincide with our K-5 Faith Formation Program, and evaluates these
programs at year end.
