All of our ministries
are in need
of more persons and an update from those who have been serving
faithfully. A brief description of each ministry is listed below.
New ministers will be contacted as soon as possible.
Training or orientation appropriate to each minister will be provided.
Before we worship in our new church, new training sessions will be
required by all ministers.
Please spend time in prayerful reflection asking for
God’s guidance as you discern your own gifts and availability to
serve.
Altar Servers: Leads processions of ministers by
carrying the cross and banners, holds the presider books, serves at the
table of the Eucharist. This ministry is for children from grade 4
through high school and for adults-male or female.
Baptism Coordinators:
Welcomes the Baptism
family, assists the family, the altar servers and presider.
Choir and Cantors:
To assist the assembly.
Practice held once a week.
Environment:
Designs and implements the seasonal
celebrations of the church.
Eucharistic Ministers:
Reverently distributes the
Body and Blood of Christ at the celebration of the Eucharist.
Greeters:
Ministry of hospitality, welcomes the
assembly. Hands out the bulletins after Mass.
Lectors:
Prepare ahead to proclaim the Word of
God
Mass Coordinators:
Arrives 30 minutes before Mass
to prepare for the liturgy. Communicates with the presider and all
liturgical ministers. To inform ministers about any specifics regarding
the liturgy.
Sacristans:
Prepares the altar, the sacred
vessels, the bread and wine and other Mass supplies. With help of two
Eucharistic Ministers , wash the sacred vessels after mass.
Ushers:
Assist the congregation in finding seats,
directions and information, Takes up collection.
