Visitation Ministry 

The Visitation Ministry will visit, bring the Eucharist and offer prayers of comfort to those hospitalized or homebound.  Please call Peg Carroll, Coordinator of the Visitation Ministry, if you or someone you know would appreciate a visit. Peg's office hours are 9am-2pm, Mon.-Thurs., 267-7088 ext. 228, messages are checked on a regular basis.  If you need to contact her after hours or on Saturday or Sunday please use the emergency phone, 239-980-1313.  E-mail  peg@ourladyoflight.com or fill out the online Visitation Request Form below.

PRAYING FOR SAFETY

If you have a family member, friend or neighbor serving in the military please let us know. We will publish their names in the bulletin once a month as a reminder for everyone to pray for their safety. When you do call in please use the following format:

Please call Peg Carroll with the name of the person that you want added at 267-7088 ext. 228. It will be necessary for you to call each month to have their names appear.

You are all encouraged to join Our Lady of Light Rosary Group at Estero Life Care Center as they recite the rosary with the residents every 1st, 2nd & 3rd,Tuesday, of the month at 11:00 a.m.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK - is a sacrament of healing. It tells us that all healing is a gift from God. God cares about our bodies as well as our souls. We celebrate Anointing of the Sick as a community on the first Monday of each month, during the 8:30 a.m. Mass. June and August are the only months that Anointing of the Sick does not take place during Mass. When a legal holiday falls on the first Monday of the month the Anointing Mass will be the following Monday.

General Cancer Support Group

All cancer patients, their families and friends are invited to attend these sessions on Day: Thursdays Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Place: CCH Building, SWFRMC Info: Call 239-939-8382.

Stroke Club

Stroke survivors and their caregivers meet every Thursday, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Gulf Coast Hospital for light seated exercises and fun activities to improve speech and self esteem. Physician permission is required to participate. For more information call Diane at 472-4626.

Senior Care Benefits Network 

Is a patient advocacy organization to help get the word out about programs that best benefit your individual prescription needs. To find out if you or a loved one qualifies call 1-888-331-1002 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Alzheimer’s Support Groups of Lee County 

Offers many different gathering places for us to take advantage of in our community. Long Term Care Issues will be discussed the 2nd Friday of each month at Dubin Alzheimer’s Resource Center located at 10051 McGregor Blvd. Suite 101. For more information call 239- 437-3007

Grief Support Ministry

Our Grief Support Ministry invites you to attend the "Movin On" Social Group. They meet every Friday for 8:30 Mass and then gather for breakfast ay Haney's Cafe at corner of US41 and Constitution Blvd.  Feel free to come  - ALL ARE WELCOME!

The Prayer List is updated on a monthly basis.  In an effort to keep the Prayer List current please report the name of your loved one monthly.  Be mindful that at the beginning of every month a new list will reflect only those names of the individuals that have been reported to Peg Carroll.  Your assistance in keeping the Prayer List up to date is appreciated.  You can reach Peg by calling 267-7088 ext. 228.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. 

Our Parish Book of Intercessory Prayer is available to all parishioners who wish to enter heartfelt concerns/petitions. As we pray for others, we actually uplift the whole body of humanity. This book is located in the chapel near the reconciliation room.
