Hi families!
Congratulations for the blessing that is your newest little one! Welcome to the online component of baptism preparation from Our Lady of Light.
The online series we will be using for this is called “Reborn” and is offered completely free of charge though our parish subscription. Aim to complete the series within a month’s timespan.
Here’s what you do:
1. On a browser such as Chrome, Firefox or Safari, please go to formed.org
2. Please choose “Find Your Parish Subscription” on the top menu
3. Click on “Continue to Sign up/Login”
4. If you are prompted to log in, please follow those prompts. (You may need to check your spam/junk email folder for the sign in code email.) Then you will be directed to the find your Parish page. (OR if not prompted to log in, follow Step 5)
5. Enter your email and name, click the box to agree to the Terms of Use, and click “Sign Up”
6. Select your parish by entering the parish zip code 33967, then click “Sign Up”
7. You should then be taken to the main Formed site, and should be automatically signed in and be able to access all the content. (FYI all of these resources on the entire site are free for you use at your convenience!)
8. Search for “Reborn” or “Renancer” if you prefer Spanish.
Baptism Parents:
Please watch these four videos using the study guide available on the website as your guide for discussion.
Each parent should fill out the small group discussion questions once you view the videos, pages 8, 16, and 24, and return those pages to the office as “Proof of completion.” You will need to turn in a separate set of answers for each parent.
You can use a blank sheet of paper for your responses if you do not have a printer, and return by mail or email, scanned or a picture. Please write clearly so we can read your handwriting.
Godparents:
Please watch these four videos using the study guide available on the website as your guide for discussion. Each Godparent and Christian Witness should fill out the small group discussion questions once you view the videos, pages 8, 16, and 24, and return those pages to the office as your proof of completion. You will need to turn in a separate set of answers for each parent.
