Preparing for
First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion
at Our Lady of Light
Preparation traditionally takes place during first and second grades but can also occur later.
- First Grade (or later): Attend Footsteps in Faith sessions or attend a Diocesan Catholic School
- Second Grade (or later): Attend Footsteps in Faith sessions or attend a Diocesan Catholic School plus special sacramental preparation sessions for parent & child(ren)
Eligibility:
Students in second grade and above may begin sacrament preparation only if they completed Year 1 of Footsteps in Faith or attended a Diocesan Catholic School last year.
Year 2 must follow immediately after Year 1, and all students—whether enrolled in Footsteps in Faith or a Diocesan school—must complete the required separate sacramental preparation sessions.”
