- Camper Packing List-All Camps
- Camp Rules Please note our dress code noted on the camp rules!
- Camp Policies
Packing tips: Please remember that the camp will not be supplying bedding or bathroom supplies (except toilet paper). The bunk areas are well air-conditioned. Please pack a sheet and/or mattress cover (twin) and/or a sturdy sleeping bag and pillow along with personal toiletries. Please pack modest clothing, see Camp Rules. The kids will also need two towels, one for the pool and another for showers. Do not forget to pack a rosary for them as well if you have one.
Cell phones and all other electronics including iPods, iPhones, iPads, DS’s, etc. for
campers are PROHIBITED and will be confiscated. The volunteers will all have cell phones
and the campers will be able to use them for emergencies – that is if we can get a cell signal. Most phones do not have service at Lake Placid Camp but a landline is available for emergencies. We will discuss this at length during orientation.
Medications should be clearly labeled with your child’s name and instructions for use in a marked Ziploc bag. There will be a nursing table at registration for delivery of these medications (including ANY over-the counter medications such as Advil) and for clarification of any necessary medical instructions with our registered nursing staff. The children are not allowed to self-administer medications at any time for any reason except epipens, inhalers or
insulin.
Contact Information: The regular and emergency phone numbers for the Camp itself are found on our website within the “Contact Us” tab. Emergency communication will always be possible through the Camp administration although cell service is very unreliable on campus. To reach the central number (landline) of Lake Placid Camp, call 1-863-465-2197. During camp, please call or text our Parent Liaison, Colette Geraghty, at (973) 590-1913 or email us at Laura.campveritas@gmail.com. Note that cell service may be limited at camp.
Please download the CAMPanion App for updates and photos posted
throughout the week (the log in is the same as your Camp-in-Touch).
Financial Information about your stay with us can be found in your Camp-In-Touch account in
the financial Management section. You should have received an invoice with details about your
account. Please contact us if you need to make special payment arrangements. If
your camper is attending as part of a Parish Group, we will collaborate with the church. Also, please let us know as soon as possible if you do NOT plan to attend.
If you have additional questions or comments, you can reply to this e-mail or send a message directly to Laura Eads, our FL admin at Laura.campveritas@gmail.com.
Our volunteer and religious staff at Camp Veritas are excited about providing each camper with an opportunity for a fun-filled, life-changing experience. We look forward to seeing you at the foot of the Cross!!
God Bless you all!
