Mass Intentions are specific petitions or prayers of thanksgiving offered to God during the celebration of the Eucharist, seeking particular graces for a loved one, deceased soul, or special need. They are a beautiful way to honor and bless those we love and care for.
Our calendar for Mass Intentions opens on:
January 1st (for Masses July – December of the same year)
July 1st (for Masses January – June of the next year)
Maximum suggested donation for all mass intentions is $10. Your donation for a Mass Intention is paid directly to the Priest, and supplements his stipend for living expenses.
Please note: Our Mass Intention calendar tends to fill up a few months before its next opening, so we encourage everyone to make their requests early. If the calendar is full and you would still like to submit a request for a Mass Intention before the next opening, we have Mass cards available for pickup in the parish office that can be mailed to the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales, who will offer a Mass for your Intention, even though it will not be celebrated here at Our Lady of Light.
